Cascadia Research Collective just completed a report on a field project off Kauai in January that includes results of satellite tagging of short-finned pilot whales and a rough-toothed dolphin, as well as photo-ID results from both species. Field work was funded by Commander, U.S. Navy Pacific Fleet as part of an assessment of habitat use and movements of odontocetes being undertaken in the western half of the main Hawaiian Islands.
A copy of the report can be accessed directly through the Cascadia web site.
