Living Marine Resources Program 2021 Annual Report

The LMR annual report provides an overview of the program’s mission, history and process, updates on all the projects we oversee and a list of the publications that became available during the year.

During 2021, most principal investigators (PI) were able to get back out into the field and made great progress after the COVID delays of 2020. Of the 30 projects we oversaw in 2021, we had six projects completed, seven new projects started and 17 ongoing by the end of the year. These projects are critical to ensuring the Navy can meet its environmental compliance needs and maintain training.

In addition to project updates, the report provides citations for 14 professional publications issued through the year. These are listed in the LMR Publications section near the end of the report. A comprehensive list of publications is now available in a spreadsheet on our website under the Publication tab. The spreadsheet is updated quarterly and can be downloaded.

We remain focused on our fundamental mission to support the Navy’s ability to conduct uninterrupted at-sea training and testing, which preserves core Navy readiness capabilities.
